Didn't I already adjourn court? You are all welcome to appeal. Please feel free to share your thoughts, here or anywhere else. Just try to have fun and a sense of humor, too. Us capitalistic thinkers appreciate the free exchange of ideas and the careful protection of intellectual property and value a thriving economy that balances interests and allows competition. And we like jokes. Lots of clever, witty jokes.

I have to take exception to any accusation that we are taking advantage of newer players. You should all see the quality of the applications that come in, and I should publish statistics on how many applications my admissions board rejects. Many humble, intelligent, sincere people are turned down for now because they simply don't have enough experience with the game yet. We like to hear about how many characters people have beaten the game with, how long they have held the HoH, how often they clear the entire underworld, and what they know about running before they even join. The quality of the newest members is absolutely astounding, and getting better with each new application.

We do: we help people capture elites, get to the Armorer in FoW, charm spiders, and beat any mission giving you trouble (often Thunderhead Keep, Titan quests, etc for people).

We charge 30K per hour, but have varying minimums: 30K minimum for elite captures, 50K minimum for spiders, 100K minimum for FoW armorer and THK.

Tell me when the hilt on a runner's sword matters at all? Any guesses? My runners have two weapons or more, and they are for various situations. Back in June I picked up a perfect longsword (10/10 sunder +30 fortitude) because at the time they were extraordinarily and unnecessarily expensive and it was a reasonable way to build some confidence with customers that I knew what I was doing (I didn't have the advantage of an excellent certification process to pursue ). I still love the sword for sentimental reasons, but everyone in the Academy and probably the vast majority of people on this forum know the statistical analysis and know what weapon mods my fighting blades have. I have never, ever fought with a sundering hilt for real battles, but its still an expensive mod for some of my collectors and running blades.

Just because sundering sucks doesnt mean LBS cant have a sword with it, basically LBS has every sword combination in the game all on 15>50 longswords. Sundering just looks cool. Also, flamers, i dont see why you have to turn all this into a huge argument, i mean sure, you are entitled to your opinion but 4-5 posts later its just getting old. Nobody is forcing you to pay 15 ectos, most people paying 15 ectos know how much it is and it is insufficient to them. It is their personal choice, made by themselves to pay the 15 ecto fee. I dont see why you have to clog this thread with flames that have been around since the first few pages.

Everybody that cares has already read things just like your posts and have already taken note on it, does LBS still get heaps of applications into the academy? The answer to that is yes, even though they have all probably read the posts in this thread trying to steer people away from our "overcharged and underwhelming service" they still come because of Lady Blue's personal reputation, and that of her colleagues. Is there any guarantee you will make back the 15 ectos during your time as an LBS runner? No, that is one chance you must take, but countless people have taken that chance and came out smiling. Is everybody's goal that joins to academy to run 24/7 and make tons of money? No, lots of people in the guild barely ever run, and spend their time doing other guild wars related things.

I am not an argumentative person, I just dont like seeing this thread clogged with insubstantial reasons for not joining the academy that have been said since day one. The LBS academy was not created for everybody, some people will love the idea, and see it as a great investment, and others will see it as a rip off, and a mere ploy to deprive people of their well earned money. I am not going to post any more things like this in the thread, and hopefully, everybody will grow tired of the incessant arguing, and leave it be. I would like to end by saying YO YO YO SUP MAH HOMESLICE TOAST!

Well guys, I must say... The academy is a brilliant idea, but the fact of the matter is, a person can run for a period of time and become a half decent runner. Instead of paying 15 ectoplasms to join an academy to learn something pretty self-explanatory, you can just meet some friendly people in beacons and ask some imput. Of course, money isn't everything... Actually 15 ectos is nothing... But my point is that the 15 ectos is mainly teaching you little tricks.
I also understand that you are a friendly guild, I have two friends from the LBS guild and they are cool people to talk to, the fact is, you don't get someone to pay 15 ectoplasms to join a guild. IMO, it is just wrong. The point of this academy is to teach people to run, correct me if im wrong. Of course, as I said before, you will meet tons of new people. 15 ectoplasms is a bit excessive.

Sorry if this was a bit offensive, but it is from my perspective and how I perceive this academy to be.

This misconception may be at the heart of people's concerns about the Academy. Teaching running skills and tactics is certainly an aspect of the Academy, but the vast majority of entering students are exceptional runners in their own right. The Academy teaches some prioritary builds and a number of innovative techniques, but a major part of the Academy is the experience, the environment, and especially the opportunity to be certified. Brilliant people attend Harvard law school. Some happen to be more brilliant than the professors, even, but they still want to attend and graduate so they can show off that diploma to future employers.

Sundering is crappier than crap can be - good for a show-off though and quite an impression to the average W/Mos. I guess that's what marketing is all about. Unimportant on a runner's sword? Did I mention running anywhere? Besides that it was a joke which ended with "seriously" I guess we avoid writing novels in the future before not having taken a deeper look.

*Yawn* You know this isn't school right. I am still trying to ponder if your intentions are truly good. The facts are this isn't college, and the majority of the people that play this game probably see it as form of relaxation from there every day life. I'm sure you and your clan have a great time together with your experiences, the environment, and running from town to town. If killing some monsters in a game, running past a bunch of tundra giants, or typing in a few emotes is an experience to you that is good. It gives you something to be proud of yourself for.

I really think people would have the upmost respect for you and everything you do, if you weren't taking in profits on the side. This kills any type of respect anyone might have for you on the outside of your guild. It almost seems like you have put yourself up on some pedestal, and act like your better in every aspect of what you do. I think this is why a few people have called you arrogant.

I have seen you multiple times say how you truly beleive you are the richest and famous person in the game. Really, thats not how a person of any respect or stature should be running around talking. If I had someone I truly looked up to and was being taught things I dont think I would like hearing him him talk about how famous and rich he was. Obviously, I think your trying to turn this game into something more than it is.

Fact is, you owe a huge debt to these forums. If it wasn't for these guys allowing you to post this thread up here you wouldn't have a near the amount you have now.

I really dont get most of you guys. Your flaming all these people over a 80 Aus dollar game, to me this seems ridiculous. If people want to go and spend 15 ecto on a joining fee then let them, its their decision. All you flamers just ruined a perfectly good post, cant you all ease up and see its only a game. Also 15 ecto is by no mean hard to earn back with a little work, so lets just be friendly and polite towards one another.

(I did cut out some of his post)

Very well put, while I don't disagree with the thought of a running service, the members of that academy here seem very arrogant (look at practically any of Blue Steel's posts, especially post #465 in this thread , I'm still not sure if that's a joke) and simply rude of anyone who doesn't praise them. Is this their vaunted "service"?

i like him too *teary eyed* there's alot of love in here so lets keep the peace guys its all fun and games

EDIT: group hug *hugs Seventh, Killer Toast and Pong... AND masterbeef AND November Rain (since he's hugging masterbeef) AND Mean "turned nice" Watermelon* love you guys FRUITY LOVE!

Btw Pong you have the best named guild i have ever seen in the entire game. I thought my guild's name was good [RPG] "res please guys" xD Do you have a chinese spamming academy ??

Although this post is off-topic i feel that it's necessary. Dont hate people its only a game and this academy only adds another fun aspect to the game. This academy gives you the oppurtunity to run through virtually all areas and then get rich for your running services when you become a pro I think its a great idea and brings people together. Sounds alot of fun and gives rise to achieving more than just acension.

Lets just say the Spammers Academy is now in business. We accept students all year round, and we charge very reasonable rates for spamming services. The tuition fee for enrolling in the Spammers Academy is only 15 ecto. Your not only going to gain the excellent skills and knowledge of a chinese spammer but your also going to have a great time in meeting new people. We have spammed in areas such as Korea, Germany, France, and such far away places as the United States. We are constantly trying to find new and creative ways to keep that spam coming out oh so much faster. We charge by the hour and can spam your rares and such for all times of the day. We are very professional and love to have a good time. If you would like to participate just PM anyone in the Academy. <<<<this is a joke if you were wondering.

Really, the name may be humurous but none more than watching Killer Toast and Beef go at it. I am willing to give both of them gold now because they have both cracked me up more than anyone on these forums.
